It acts as the repository of political, economic, social and cultural developments of man and society.It means knowing the past with a view to understand the present so as to foresee and predict the future..By reading history the students are able to understand the reforms and the policies of the government. they initiate for the dynamic policies

We use a variety of teaching aids and modules to make it easier for the students to understand the subject like maps, books, photographs has mentioned in the syllabus. In order to keep the subject interested and for them to go beyond curriculum we take field trip and conduct quiz, activities and debate session. These exercises help the students to imbibe the lessons and internalize the concepts and events. seminar and projects are also given to further promote the understanding of the subject by the students
