Department of Botany

The department of botany is functioning with diligent, ambitious, passionate and dedicated staff, ever striving to impart knowledge about the FLORA-Natures most yielding factors. We incorporate scientific thinking, intellectual theorizing and aesthetic sense while teaching botany, which paves a way for students to excel in the field of research and development. The department is well equipped with a laboratory and museum where specimens are displayed to motivate the students and to create virtual interest towards the subject.

The practical sessions conducted all round the academic year develops critical evaluation, context based approach, interpretation, presentation and experimental skills which play a vital role in future career perspectives. We strive to make the students understand the importance of plants-the major biotic components of Nature and to Nurture future BOTANISTS.
